My name is Toby Robin, and my story begins in Wyoming, the cowboy state.
Growing up in small-town Wyoming, cowboy hats were commonplace. You didn’t have to venture far to see a nice felt lid. Some were hard-working everyday days, while others told a story about their owner’s personal style.
Creative expression has always been something I’ve been drawn to, and I’ve spent the past 20 years working as a graphic designer. Over the past several years I’ve found myself yearning to get away from the computer and work with my hands. This quest for a tactile form of creative expression and a trip back home was the catalyst to start Reverent Hats. With hatmaking, I am able to collaborate with clients and help them express themselves by making them a timeless and authentic hat. More than an accessory, our hats are an extension of those wearing them.
I hear a lot of folks say they “don’t look good in hats” or they’re “not able to pull off the look.” To that I say, challenge accepted. I truly believe there’s a hat for EVERY head and I’m here to help make them.
